The top left picture shows a wood burning stove installed into a newly built brick fireplace.The brickwork chamber was constructed to the clients requirements ( which were plain and simple)
The finishing touch was the fitting of the wooden surround which framed the fireplace and made it the focal point of the room.

The top picture on the right shows an 11 meter coil of 904 stainless steel liner.

This was to be put down a leaking chimney flue.The original chimney flue constructed of lime mortar lined brick, approx 11 x 9 inches has deteriated and smoke was leaking into the loft space, as solid fuel fires contain high % of Carbon Monoxide this can be a dangerous situation .

The client wished to continue to use the fire but only if it was re- lined. The chimney was relined using a flexable stainless steel liner 200mm in dia , this is the minium requirement size of the flue for an open solid fuel burning fire.

The stainless steel liner was connected inside the chimney to a specially designed gather hood. The shape of the gather allows the smoke to be forced into the flue and be drawn up the flue and out of the chimney pot. The gather also allows the old masonary flue to be sealed to prevent fumes and any smells penertating up into the void between the liner and the masonary.
