Can I have a stove even if I do not have a chimney?

The pictures on the right show a wood burning stove fitted in a room with no chimney.

The stove is positioned in a brickwork chamber with the vitreous flue pipe coming off the top outlet of the stove.The vitreous pipe is conected into an insulated flue pipe which goes through the wall to the outside.

The insulated flue is supported on a special wall bracket which supports the weght of the flue and positions it at the correct distance from the exterior wall.The flue pipe is connected up the wall and terminates above the ridge of the roof at the required height.

The woodburning stove is shown in its false chimney-breast that has been built of blockwork then plastered finish. The hearth is constructed using indian stone.

Complete chimney services undertakes the sweeping of lined stoves using flexable rods and nylon brushes.Using these flexable rods allows the brush to follow the shape of the liner whilst the sweeping is carried out.

All woodburning stove maintenance ( replacing fire-ropes adjustments to doors etc ) can be carried out at the time of sweeping.

Complete Chimney services supplies and fits all types of chimney cowls. It is essential to have the correct cowl fitted on your chimney, an incorrectly fitted cowl may be dangerous and may lead to the build up of tar / creosotes which can lead to a chimney fire.
